Obituary For Cornelius Dickens

With many mixed emotions and understandable broken hearts, S. Jones F. and C. joins with the family of Mr. Cornelius Dickens as they prepare to say “Until We Meet Again." Mr. Dickens, 43, of High Point, NC transitioned from this life on May 18, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

His Celebration of Life events will begin with a Public Viewing on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in the chapel of Johnson's and Sons Funeral Home 206 4th St, High Point, NC 27260 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm with a Service of Comfort beginning at 1 pm. Following Johnsons and Sons COVID-19 restriction policy, only 25 people can attend the funeral service; public viewing can be unlimited, but walk through only and you must have a mask to enter the funeral home. To accommodate those who wish to attend the service but can't, it will be streamed live on our Facebook page: S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Walk Through Viewing will be held 5 pm - 7 pm Friday, May 29, 2020, in the Reposing Room of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Service by the Graveside will be held 12 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2020 in the Red Hill Church Cemetery, Whitakers, NC.

Please note if the forecast calls for rain, the graveside service will be moved to the sanctuary of the Jerusalem Baptist Church,426 Cutchin Rd, Whitakers, NC 27891 followed by the interment in the Red Hill Church Cemetery.

Mr. Neal will be greatly missed. I never saw him without a smile and willingness to assist in any capacity. He was a father figure to many of our students and would talk to them about their futures. He loved those Thanksgiving cruises and loved to talk about his vacation time with his family. He was a gentle giant and a good man. Debbie Saie
