My name is Shirley Dixon Chester, a close friend since elementary. One of my fondest memories of Charlie Mae are the nights we would stay over on a school night at each other's house and lay awake hours talking about just silly stuff while laughing ourselves to sleep. I left Georgia after 9th grade but our friendship throughout the years never wavered. Whenever I would come back to visit my grandmother, I would always take the opportunity to visit Charlie Mae as well. She was truly the best of the best. She was my friend. So to the family, Pearl & Rita, hold fast to your faith in hopes that you all will see each other again. My thoughts and my prayers are with you. Love Shirley
