We’ve shared our lives these many years. You’ve held my hand; you’ve held my heart. So many blessings, so few tears Yet for a moment, we must part. The memories you’ve given me Are times I’ve shared with my best friend I’ll hold them, Love. Right here they’ll be Until we share our lives again.

Mr. Glenn Alston, Jr, age 37 of Durham, North Carolina departed this life on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Richardson-Alston Family Cemetery 635 Sulphur Spring Road in Warrenton, North Carolina. Reverend Carson F. Jones, Jr. will officiate services.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his maternal grandmother Narcissus Smith of Henderson NC; his parents Glenn Douglas Alston, Sr. (Barbara) of Warrenton NC; his mother Dicie Thompson (Ulysses Jerome) of Greenville SC; his son Ja’Cir Alston of Smithfield NC; his daughter, TaNiyah Johnson of Rolesville NC; his sister, Folami Summer Alston of Henderson NC; his step-brother Reggie Murray (Jolanda) of Atlanta GA; his step-sister Sabrina Winston of Warrenton NC; his step-brother Howard Lynch, Jr. (Jennifer) of Tarboro NC; his paternal aunt Gloria Jean Alston (Arthur) of Raleigh NC; his maternal aunts Mattie Sanders of Raleigh NC and Elizabeth McCullum of Henderson NC; his maternal uncle's Jullie Henry Smith II of Burlington NC and Samuel Melvin Smith of Washington DC; his fiancée Sheena Nicole Lassiter, and their two children Jayden and Janasia of the home in Wake Forest NC; his in-laws in love James and Rebecca Lassiter of Selma NC; his paternal great uncle Martin Richardson (Georgia) of Charlotte NC; Calvin Richardson (Patsy) of Orlando FL; his maternal great uncle Melvin “MG” Smith (Ernestine) of Henderson NC; and maternal great aunts Martha Manson of Maryland, Annie Foster of Delware, Pattie Smith of Kittrell NC, and Betty Moore of Newark NJ. Along with special cousins Tyrell, JJ, Donte, Bug, Jackie, Nobie and a host of other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

To Our Lil Glenn, You were a Joy to Our Family and to be around. And we loved you tremendously. You were so excited about your life and job. Iam so sorry for your lost Glenn I am his son Jacir grandmother I know he loved his son and we loved Glenn I will always remember his smile and the time that we had with him RIP Glenn much love from Wayne Campbell and Family.

So sorry for the families loss Glenn was a good guy. My brother was his friends for years and my boyfriend worked with him. He always had a smile and loved his family. May GOD comfort the family .

Glenn and I was close during our middle/high school years. Time passed but we just recently reconnected and picked up as if we didnt miss a beat. You dont meet too many real ones but he definitely was. My heart is broken but I know that you are still smiling. Thank you for being my friend
