Obituary For Bennie L Golson

Golson, Bennie L., Seffner, FL transitioned on May 21, 2020. A native of Columbia, SC. Bennie joined the U S Army. He was a Train Conductor with the New York Transit Authority later a Postal Clerk before retiring. He and the family relocated to Seffner, FL and for 20 years he and wife Gloria commuted to Clearwater to the Bayview Baptist Church where they faithfully served and ministered and also earning his D.Min. Cherished memories his wife, children, grandchildren other relatives and friends. Life Celebration on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Smith-Young Funeral Home-727/442-2388.

Bennie stood up and helped all of the other Commanders that came behind him. Bennie was a great teacher and support system, as a Chapter Service Officer for the Disabled Americans Veterans Association. He made sure that every Veteran that he dealt with was rewarded with some kind of benefit or compensation assistance and consideration for their disability. Bennie you're going to be surely missed.
