Obituary For James Paulk

In Loving Memory Of

James "Jim" Youngblood Paulk was born December 26, 1935 in Bullock County AL, to the late Louis Paulk & Tessola Youngblood. He was raised, an only child, in the home of his grandmother Roberta Youngblood.

For many years, Jim worked for Columbus Roofing, until retiring in 2007. Jim was a skilled worker, and remained physically active until his health failed in recent years.

In 2010, Jim accepted Christ, as his saviour, and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Hatchechubbee, AL Jim was a strong, kind, & good-hearted man. He'd give you the shirt off his back, and his work ethic was unparalleled. He enjoyed being around people and spending time with his children.

On May 24, 2020 Jim departed this life, at Bullock County Hospital, in Union Springs, AL. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving daughter Lashan Upshaw-Tinsley (Wayne); 5 sons - Jermaine (Shawnita) Fluellen, Stacey (Shenteria) Fluellen, Akiel Chappel, Zavoun Chappel, and Kentzell Chappel; 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grand son; an aunt Jimmie Youngblood-Mahone; cousins & friends.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020, from 1:00pm-6:00pm EST at Lamb’s International Funeral Home. Jim will be laid to rest at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Hurtsboro, AL Friday, May 29th, at 12pm CST / 1pm EST. A grave side service will be held.

Due to COVID-19, those attending are asked to wear a face mask. The family will not receive visitors, at their home, or host a repast given the need to maintain social distancing.
