Obituary For Jay'Len Antonion Whitaker

With many mixed emotions and understandable broken hearts, S. Jones F. and C. joins with family of Jay'Len Whitaker, 15, of Wilson, NC as they prepare to say “Farewell". Jay'Len transitioned from this life on May 26, 2020 at the UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center.

A Public Viewing will be held 5 pm - 7 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2020 in the sanctuary of the Emmanuel Church Of Deliverance 205 Emanon St. Enfield, NC 27823.

A Service of Comfort will be held 3:30 pm, Sunday, May 31, 2020 in the chapel of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations. His body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the White Oak Church Cemetery.

I had the pleasure to teach this AWESOME young man. In spite of pain Jay'Len smiled and enjoyed life. I considered it a blessing to have been a part of his life and him to be a part of mine. He was an encourager, mentor, protector,friend and son to me. My mom passed May 26 2019 and he would encourage me when I had my days at school. My heart is so broken but I know he's resting with GOD free from pain and suffering. Mom Dad Siblings and family. I will never forget Jay! Thank you for sharing him with us. My SBH baby! Jay this is truly a hard pill to swallow. I love you more than you'll ever know!! Sleep In Peace Baby
