Obituary For Albert Hunter

Mr. Albert Hunter, 75, of Pittsview, AL passed Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Columbus, GA.

A private memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2020.

Albert Hunter was born February 28, 1945 in Pittsview, Alabama to the late Henry and Annie Hunter. He passed from this life on May 30, 2020.

He was an excellent provider who cared dearly for his family and made sure they had what they needed. He began his career with Inland Steel during 1966 progressing in responsibility until his retirement after 35 years. He also enjoyed working as a barber throughout his life especially when cutting the hair of his family and friends.

A definite auto enthusiast he spent many years rebuilding motors, restoring vintage vehicles and repairing cars until he shifted his time to his passion for gardening. He worked the land using his passion to raise many fruits, vegetables and herbs. He consistently sent packages of love containing his harvest to family and friends for them to enjoy.

He leaves to cherish his memory wife Jo Ann Hunter, four children Reginald Hunter Sr. of Merrillville, Indiana, Nicholas Hunter of Phenix City, Alabama, Tina Milhouse of Tinley Park, Illinois, Kelvin (Shakita) Hunter of Smith Station, Alabama. Two sisters and brothers Bessie Mitchell of Pittsview, Alabama, Willie B. Peterson of East Chicago, Indiana, LC Hunter of East Chicago, Indiana, Henry Hunter Jr. of East Chicago, Indiana. Eleven grandchildren Tyler Milhouse, Olivia Hunter, Wilber L. Milhouse, Rebekkah Hunter, Shakwasia Bellamy, Reginald Hunter Jr., Raymond Hunter, La’lah Bellamy, Torionna Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Anariah Bellamy and many loving nieces and nephews.
