Obituary For Matthew "Grass" Whitaker

With astonishing disbelief, S. Jones F. and C. announces the departure of Mr. Matthew "Grass" Whitaker, 46, of Enfield, NC from his life here on earth Friday, May 29, 2020.

A "Walk Through Viewing Only" will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in the Reposing Room of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations from 5 pm - 7 pm.

A Service by the Graveside will be held 11 am in the Cedarview Cemetery, Thursday, June 04, 2020.

WHEREAS, Matthew "Grass" Whitaker, Jr. is great great great grandson of Maria & Augustus McWilliams, Harriet Stewart Meade and Caesar Bailey, Mariah Harvey & Jesse Bynum Qualls, Aniss & Robert Washington Thornton, Caroline Pitt & Samuel Bailey, AddiAnn Price & Harrod Jones, as well as Margarett Scott and Richard Mitchum.
