Ms. Sharon Williams , the daughter ofthe late Claude Farmer and Metabeth Starks Farmer, was born on October 20, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky. She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 following a brief illness.
She attended Loretta High School in Louisville, KY and later graduated from Spaulding College.
At an early, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined First Congregational Methodist Church. She later joined St. Paul Baptist Church once she moved to Orangeburg, SC, where she served faithfully as a missionary, President of the First Lady Ministry and Vice-President of the Pastor’s Aide Ministry.
Sharon loved to shop with her daughter, Kristin. She loved clothes, and she enjoyed traveling. She spent much of her time studying God’s word and diligently seeking him. She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Williams of the home; future son-in-law, Kyle Slay; one sister, Inga (Stanley) Bush of Louisville, KY;a very special friend, Edna (Wilbur) Simmons of Williston, SC; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 at G.C. Williams Funeral Home, 1935 W Broadway, Louisville, KY, with interment to follow Monday, June 8, 2020 in Eastern Cemetery, Jeffersonville, IN.
