I have known and worked with Shirley on and off for over 30 years. You couldn't meet a more kind hearted person who was ahead of her time. Strong, independent and solid as a rock dependable. The world could have been coming down around us and when you called Shirley on the phone, you would've never known because her ever present enthusiasm was the Light of the day. Anyone that knew her was better for it. God bless you Shirley, I know you are now in a better place and God Bless your entire family! -Scott Michelsen and Family

Shirley was a fantastic person, full of love and laughter and had a special ability to brighten up anyone's day. She has been a coworker of mine for 10 years, and I was devastated to hear the news of her passing. Our work meetings have lost a lot of the happiness and cheer that Shirley would provide. My deepest condolences to all family and friends. I know I speak on behalf of everyone at American Mattress when I say you will be missed!! -Anthony Platania

First off, I didn't think she was a day over 60 and this reflected her cheery personality, spirit, work ethics and her personal life. I had the honor to work with Shirley for the past few years and whether it was the first time we spoke on the phone, our interactions at work meetings or filling in at her mattress shop she was always awesome and will be missed greatly. My three best memories of Shirley include her in the front row at the American Mattress meetings where she anchored the owners with laughs and fun interactions with everyone. Next, was the first time we spoke on the phone when she asked "where did I come from" because of a big day in mattress sales which I really appreciated and will never forget. Last but not least was the special connection we shared with both having long distance bae's and she actually called me for advice which still makes me smile. Needless to say our entire American Mattress family will miss her bubbly personality, savvy skills, bright smile and positive attitude. Much love to each family member, her friends and you. RIP Shirley - Blake Las

What can I say about my "New Best Friend" as she would call me. Shirley was one of a kind. I will never meet another Shirley. She was a straight shooter, telling you what you wanted to hear and what you didn't want to hear. And it was with total LOVE! I will miss her LOVE, her SASSY WAYS and her ability to hear what you had to say without judgment. Rest in peace my ANGEL, you earned your WINGS...NOW FLY because GOD is there to greet you! Love you TO THE MOON AND BACK! Cecelia aka CeCe,, Taylor, Dominique and The Horseman

Shirley was more than a friend, she was a mother to me. whenever I needed comforting words, encouragement or advice she was always there to listen, but let's not get it twisted when you were wrong she would tell you off. "Her favorite words was, you ain't gonna like what I gotta say". Shirley was never a one-sided person she was fair and that's what I loved about her, she was the realist person there was.. To my dear angel in heaven hope God gave you the biggest wings and hope you fly as high as you can. You will never be forgotten. Till we meet again my dear friend. Love Darlene Tucker
