Obituary For Goldbora James

The Governor of South Carolina advises to limit public gatherings to 50 guests or less to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC carefully considered this recommendation and ask that additional guest please participate via live-streaming if it is authorized by the family.

A Private Funeral; Service for Mrs. Goldbora “Goldie” Neomi Muldrow James will be conducted 2:30 PM Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Liberty Christian Assembly Church, 2281 Sunday Road, Hartsville, SC. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Mrs. Goldbora “Goldie” Neomi Muldrow James was born February 26, 1961 to Mr. Wilbur Muldrow Jr. and the late Mrs. Mary E. Muldrow in Florence, South Carolina. She peacefully made her transition into eternal rest on Friday, June 5, 2020 at her home, after a brief illness.

Goldbora affectionately called Goldie was a Class of 1979 graduate of Wilson High School.

She was employed with Gangplank Seafood Restaurant, Ronnie’s Café, and McDonald’s Restaurant, until her health declined.

Goldie loved fishing, reading, spending time with her loved ones and friends.

Goldie’s left a message to the family:”Don’t cry for me, I have done my work down here, family, continue to love one another and stay close. Love’ ya’ll.

Goldie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Muldrow; her maternal grandparents, Macy Washington and Jerry Sharper; paternal grandparents, Chloe Muldrow and Wilbur Muldrow; her husband, Michael James; and a brother, Elijah Washington.

Goldie leaves to cherish her lasting memories: her father, Wilbur Muldrow, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina; two daughters, Katrise (Marquis) Jeffery, Dashell Gandy of Florence, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Ja’Naya, Gerard, Ki’Asya, Shaquille, Miquves, and Davontae; two sisters, Joann (Gary) Boyd and Laura Washington; three brothers, Jerry Muldrow, Jr., Roy Muldrow, and Claude Washington; her companion of 33 years, Archie Gandy; two nieces, Blenda (Cedric) Ford and Baretter (Johnny) McKnight; six nephews, Andrew Calvin Washington, Marcus Muldrow, Tito (Joyce) Muldrow, Doran Washington, Jodis Washington, and Tomac Washington; three god children, Rodney (Connie) Mouzon, Andrew Calvin Washington, Jasmine Witherspoon; three best friends, Ivory Jackson, Jeneise Wright, and Robin Bacote; loved her D. Block Family; her cat Midnight, whom she loved dearly; and a host of aunts; uncles; other relatives; and friends.
