Obituary For W. C. Swain

Graveside services for Mr. W. C. Swain, 73, will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at St. Campbell Church Cemetery. Pastor Richard Fair will officiate. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020.

Mr. W. C. Swain began life’s journey on Friday, August 16, 1946, to the union of Dudley Swain and Mable Garrett Swain in Talladega County, Alabama.

Mr. Swain confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with St. Campbell Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He received his education in Talladega County School System. Once he completed his education, W. C. relocated to Florida and worked in construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and doing carpentry work.

On the morning of Sunday, June 7, 2020, W. C. began his eternal journey at his residence. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Dudley and Mable Swain; and four siblings, Geraldine Curry, Mable Lou Swain, Cleveland Chatman and Glendine Swain.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four sisters, Estella Garrett and Evaline Garrett of Alpine, Alabama, Linda Faye (Calvin) Williams of Talladega, Alabama and Glenda Kay Swain of Reseda, California; three brothers, Bennie C. Swain and Alonza (Debra) Swain of Alpine, Alabama and Perry Dudley (Deborah) Swain of Douglasville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
