Obituary For Carlotta Greenberry

Carlotta Greenberry was born July 17, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to Cardell Greenberry. Carlotta was a 1971 graduate of Blytheville High School and Arkansas State University. While at Arkansas State University Carlotta a charter member of Eta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, INC. (AKA). She was also a member of the Lambda Sigma Chapter in Blytheville. Carlotta was a teacher, teaching special needs children in Osceola, Louisiana, and Florida. Carlotta united with Jeremiah Spiritual Church in Blytheville, Arkansas under the leadership of Bishop Roscoe Roberson. She was a member of Christ the Rock in Memphis, Tennessee under the leadership of Pastor Faulkner and attended CB Christian Fellowship in Brinkley, Arkansas. Carlotta was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roosevelt Gillespie, sisters, Marilyn Gillespie and Linda Sain, and a brother, Johnny Greenberry. Carlotta passed away June 2, 2020 at her home is Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 66. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Kharlos Greenberry of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Princess Greenberry also of Jacksonville, Florida; her loving mother Mrs. Cardell Gillespie of Blytheville, Arkansas; four brothers, Bishop Carl J. (Althea) Logan of Jacksonville, Florida; Shelly Gillespie of Blytheville, Arkansas, Pastor Vernal (Latanya) Gillespie also of Blytheville, Arkansas; Forrest F. (Gabriela) Gillespie of Ansbach, Germany; two sisters, Rita Gillespie of Blytheville Arkansas and Carlyn Coleman of Jacksonville, Florida; an aunt, Mrs. Maelee Greenberry Stringer of Blytheville, Arkansas and an uncle Mr. Jimmy Greenberry also of Blytheville, Arkansas; a God-sister, Brenda (Albert) Foreman of Waukegan, Illinois, a cousin who was raised like her brother Jimmy (Jacqueline) Davis of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a brother in law, Eugene Sain of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Greater Jeremiah Spiritual Church, 1100 South Lake Street, Blytheville, Arkansas. Bishop Carl J. Logan will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville. Visitation will be held Saturday June 13, 2020 from 10:00 until services began at noon. McDonald-Horne Funeral Home is in charge of all services and arrangements.
