The Obituary

Mrs. Annette Ash White-Blake was born June 21, 1958

to Claude and Lillie Mae Ash in Gadsden, Alabama. On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, Annette entered into eternal rest from this life.

She was educated in the Gadsden City School System and graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1977. After School, she went on to work at Gold Kist in Boaz, Alabama, where she was a supervisor for many years until she retired. Then she went on to work at Jacks in Alabama City for eight plus years until she could no longer work.

Annette loved her children, granddaughters and family dearly. In her spare time she loved to fish, spend time with family and just enjoy life.

In 1981, Annette joined in union to the late Mr. Albert White in which they created two daughters, Tiffany and Lillian White. Later, she joined in union to the late Mr. Tonnie C. Blake in 1988. She remained married to Mr. Blake until he was called home to be with the lord in 2016.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lillie Mae Ash; her husband, Tonnie C. Blake; sister, Alice Ash; brothers, Billy Hill and Claude Ash, Jr. and the father of her children, Albert White.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Tiffany (Gregory) White and Lillian (La’Derrick) White; aunt, Willie Mae Timmons of Gadsden, AL; brother, Tommy Ash of Gadsden, AL; sisters, Katherine (Billy) Hill of Mississippi and Peggy Ash of Gadsden, AL; three granddaughters, Essence Jordan, Jamia White-Jordan, LaToria White-Davis and a special grandbaby on the way, all of Gadsden, AL; sisters- in-law, Shirley Carter of Anniston, AL, Katheleen Blake of

Chicago, IL and Linda Blake of Anniston, AL; brothers-in- law, Paul (Faye) Blake of Chicago, IL, James (Nora) Blake of

Albertville, AL and Calvin Butts of Dallas, TX and Damon Taylor of Birmingham, AL; special nieces, Candi Williams of Ft. Payne, AL, Kumira Mason of Las Vegas, NV, Shameka Lemon of Texas of Carlos Hill of Columbus, MS; special daughters, Chaundreeta Jackson and Brandi Brooks, both of Gadsden, AL and special friends, Christine Miller, Jr. and Wanda Kay Winston, all of Gadsden and a host of family friends.

Public Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020, at the funeral home.

Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2020, at Mission Baptist Church, 1115 Tuscaloosa Ave., Gadsden, AL 35901. Rev. Grady E. Robinson Jr. officiating. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Park.
