Obituary For George Bell

On Thursday, June 11, 2020, Mr. George Bell, 89, a lifelong resident of Crawford, GA said goodnight to his loving wife, Mildred “Bird” Bell, his children, his grandchildren, brother, brother-in-laws, and the rest of his family and the Smokey Road community at large.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Wheless Grading Company until he retired in the late 1970s. After his retirement, he was known for growing his collard greens and corn. He will be surely missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 10:00am - 8:00pm and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 1:00pm. All services will be held at Barrett Funeral Home - Oglethorpe Chapel. Rev. Jeffrey Marion will be officiating.
