Mr. Robert Lee Hector age 80 of Lawndale, North Carolina transitioned on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at his residence He was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina on July 21, 1939 to the late John Richard Hector and Josie Kee Hector. He graduated from Douglas High School, class of 1959. He was a member of Lawndale First Baptist Church. He retired from PPG.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lydia Bernice Wray Hector of the home, three sons, Martin Hector (Mya) of Shelby, NC, Edwin Hector, Wayne Hector of the home.

Funeral Service is Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Lawndale First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.The body will lie in state from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 the family will not be present. Everyone is asked to please wear a mask for the service on Saturday.
