Anne Jean Fountain was born February 12, 1950 to D.L. and Johnnie Mae Fountain in McKinnon Ville, Florida. She was a 1967 graduate of Escambia County Training School in Atmore, Alabama. She was a faithful member of Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined.

She was employed with Vanity Fair Mills for many years and later was employed with Flowerwood Nursery until her retirement. In Annie leisure time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Annie transitioned from time to eternity on September 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents D.L. and Johnnie Mae Fountain.

She will be remembered and cherished by her two loving daughters, Sheneilia(Pastor Tyrone) Hartley and Kim Fountain; seven grandchildren, Antonio Hartley, Tyler Nero of Raleigh, North Carolina, Anna Hartley, Aimee Hartley, Marquez Gaines, Makayla Gaines, Breona Gaines, two great grandchildren, Raelynn Hartley and Ry Anne Hartley; three sisters, Edna Black, Louise Johnson and Carolyn Carter, all of Atmore Alabama, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2019, 1pm at Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church, 12 Church Street, Atmore AL 36502, Reverend Gary Bryant, Host Pastor and Pastor Danny Fountain, Officiating Eulogist.
