Mr. William Long (84) of Valdosta, Georgia, departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2020.

Join the Long Family, on Monday June 29, 2020 at 12’Noon for full Military Graveside Rites at the Tallahassee National Cemetery - 5015 Apalachee Parkway Tallahassee, FL.

In light of the recent Coronavirus-Covid-19 Pandemic, we have an obligation to protect the welfare of our families and the community. We request that all attendees will adhere, respect and comply with guidelines from the Center for Disease Control, while continuing to serve our families in times of need.

I will always remember my cousin, Billy. I remember one particular event in which Billy was home on leave from the military and took Mariah and I to the West End (Marianna). He was our escort and showed us a great time. We had to sneak in the house because we had passed our curfew. Of course, we were caught by Aunt Carrie. We lost ccontact over the years but I have always had fond memories of my visits in "the Valley." Rest in eternal peace, Billy. Gwen Davis
