Pastor Angela Pitre will be officiating the funeral service. Mrs. Carter leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Sylvester Carter of Church Point, LA; four daughters, Darlene Carter (Michael) and Shella Reese, both of Church Point, LA, Delia Carter of Rayne, LA and Betty Daniels of Leland, MS; three step children, Rodrick Robinson, Brodrick Robinson and Daryl Carter, all of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Lucille Moore of Peteville, LA and Mary Jane Monroe of Church Point, LA; twenty-six grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, August Carter, Sr.; her parents, Gilbert and Delia Hebert Guidry; one son, August Carter, Jr.; four brothers, Gilbert Guidry, John Guidry, Joseph Guidry and George Guidry; four sisters, Albertha Moore, Lillie Mae Lewis, Mary Senegal and Rose Guidry; and five grandchildren, August Carter, III, Emori Carter, Torrince Wheeler, Tayvion Wheeler and Treyvion Wheeler.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Good Shepherd Deliverance Revival Center.
