Before I ever met Bill, I saw him as just one giant muscle with an intimidating presence. His brother, Edward "Po Daddy" Williams, who is one of my best friends, like me were a whole lot smaller in statue. Just a few years ago, Bill came to my father's house to bring his brother, Po Daddy, to see me. This gentle man who also had become a member of our family, sought me out so his brother and I could visit before he left the state again. His smile and gentle spirit is a lasting memory I will always carry with me and a giant "Thank You" for finding me, for "Po Daddy". I pray for the peace of the family you leave behind and that God will forever be that entity that keeps our family together.

Cousin you know that I am going to truly miss you. I remember those good ole days, you growing up in New Bern, and me growing up in Kinston. We were little kids playing outside in the dirt and Aunt Helen in the kitchen baking a chocolate cake, you, me, Ronnie and Gregg having fun!!! Then when we grew up, you playing football for your high school, coming to Kinston playing against Adkin High School and you guys always went home crying because we would beat you all good!!!! And you was always trying to hook me up with some of your friends. (smile) You always have had that warm smile, and good heart my cousin, now is the time for you to Rest in Peace. Love you much.
