Ida Mae Brown was born in Goodman, MS on October 24, 1934 to the late Iola (Mabry) Roby and Emmette Roby Sr. She was born into a family of six children. She departed this life on June 18, 2020.

As a child, Ida Mae confessed Christ as her personal lord and Savior at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. As an adult, she joined New Banyon Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, she joined The New Saint James Church of God In Christ (COGIC), where she was a devoted and faithful member as well as a mother of the church. She was a God-fearing woman who loved life and her family as well as spending time with her friends and church family.

Ida Mae worked in Kosciusko, MS for the Dr. Burge Dentist Office as a lab technician for many years until she retired.

In 1953, Ida Mae married the late Willie B. Kilbert. To this union, five children were born. She later remarried in 1980 to the late John Eddie Brown, a union which remained until his homegoing in 2001.

Ida Mae is preceded in death by her mother and father, Iola and emmette Roby; a brother, McKinley, Roby Sr.; and two sisters, Katherine Roby and Martha Cole.

Ida Mae leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Emmette (Mary) Roby of Elgin, IL and Booker T. Roby of Kosciusko, MS; two daughters, Mary (Stanley) Luckett of Sallis, MS and Linda (Anthony Mills) Kilbert of Bartlett, TN; three sons, Allie B. (Sandra) Kilbert of Sallis, MS, Willie C. (Stacie) Kilbert of Elgin, Il and Nathaniel "Nate" (Alyse) Kilbert of Flowood, MS. She also leaves behind 11 gorgeous nieces, 13 handsome nephews, 16 loving grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.
