Obituary For Ms. Gladys Daniels

Ms. Gladys Daniels 85, of Vienna GA entered into eternal rest on Tuesday June 23, 2020.

Graveside Services for Ms. Gladys Daniels 85,of Vienna GA will be Saturday June 27, 2020 at 1:00p.m. by immediate family only at the Vienna City Cemetery .Public Visitation will be held Friday June 26 from 2-6 p.m.

On May 9, 1935, the late Jessie Kate Buckles and the late Clark Daniels gave birth to a warrior, Ms. Gladys Daniels, but known to all as “Rooster”. Born in the little town of Pinehurst, GA, we have witnessed a caring, loving, praying, and strong woman live a life of victory and defeat for 85 years. On June 23, 2020, at 12:45 AM, Rooster mastered her final battle, and Heaven gained an Angel. She was a faithful member of Forest Chapel Baptist Church, Pinehurst, GA, until she was physically unable to attend. However, that didn’t stop her from continuing to praise God and believe in his healing powers, as she would daily recite her favorite scripture, Psalm 23. Rooster’s strongest characteristics and skills were love, caring, cooking, cleaning, and providing. She not only did this for her immediate family and friends, she also extended herself to extended family, including Dr. Mark (Michelle) Ingram, Mrs. Benning (Cecil) McGraw, Debbie Christie Williams, Robbie (Dan) Speight, Ms. Marion Bowens, and their families. She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy: eight children, 28 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren; nine siblings, including a devoted sister, Della Mae Daniels; a host of nieces, including a devoted niece, Tamecka Furlow, who was also a loving and supportive caretaker, nephews, cousins, including two devoted cousins, Lillie Bowens and Sara Jane Blackshear, and beloved neighbors and friends, including a devoted friend, Mary Sutton Burke.

I remember the laughs Rooster and I had. We didn't see each other often but when we did, we'd just pickup where we left off. She LOVED family and she wanted her family to love each other. Although she is no longer with us in the flesh, her memory will live on. You will be missed Rooster but go on and take your rest, we love you but GOD loves you best.
