Obituary For Eva Alice Reynolds

Eva Alice Reynolds Wells was born Tuesday, July 10, 1956, in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, to parents, George Reynolds and Virginia Perry. Eva, the only girl of 4 children, attended Catholic and Jefferson County Public Schools. She was affectionately called “Eve” by her late husband, nieces, and nephews. She was proud to be known as “Nana”, a name she chose for herself when she found out she was going to be a grandmother. There could not have been a grandmother on this earth prouder of her three grandbabies than she was.

Eva was kind, soft spoken, and selfless. Usually, she would just smile. She lived by the Golden Rule and instilled that value in her four children. Eva was also a praying mother. She loved the Lord and went to church every time the doors were open. Her cooking was outstanding! If you hung around her home long enough, you were guaranteed to leave with a full belly and extra pounds. She was known for her delicious cakes that could mend a broken heart. Whenever life seemed to be falling apart and a “pick me up” was needed, Eva went shopping. She felt “retail therapy” was a necessity for her peace of mind. Doing puzzles, watching soap operas and anything actor, writer, producer, and comedian, Tyler Perry created were also an enjoyment to and for her.

Eva was a devoted loving wife of the late Kenneth R. Wells, Sr., and they were blessed with four children: Eva, Kenneth, Jr., Virginia, and Jamie Wells. Sadly, on Thursday, June 18, 2020, Eva was called to take her heavenly rest. She was welcomed by her husband, Kenneth Ray Wells Sr.; parents, George Reynolds and Virginia Perry; brothers, George Ballard and Martin Reynolds. She leaves to cherish their memories of her: children, Eva C. Wells, Kenneth R. Wells, Jr., Virginia Wells, and Jamie Wells; brothers, Thomas Reynolds of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Phillip Neal; grandchildren, Kendall Marie, Shelby Allyce, and Christopher Allen; a niece, Emailie Patterson who was raised as a daughter; and a host of extended family and friends.
