How do put 50 plus years of love and friendship and family in a message? Bob was the best of our generation. He loved his family like no one I have ever known. Obviously there will never be another like him. He loved, he lived, and he was respected. He was from an older generation. We may never see his kind again. And we are richer from knowing him and poorer with his passing. I LOVE YOU brother. Richard L Smith

Condolences to Gail, Stephen, Will and family from north of the Mason / Dixon line. "The Dam Yankee", (what Bobby would call me), (a northerner that relocated to the south). Our friendship goes back to his Navy days when he and Gail lived in South Carolina and continued through the years, thou "the Dam Yankee" returned north. Bobby always had a joke or funny story to share and would extend himself to others. Though miles apart now, I consider our friendship strong. He will be missed. Blessings, Sandy Barnett

We will be forever grateful for our many times together over the years. Whether it was a college adventure, a spontaneous meal/road trip when you were in the mountains, a concert at Biltmore, going out to eat, a front porch visit, or just a quick call or email to touch base, all were very special. We will both miss those good conversations with Bobby and are always here for you Crocker. We love you. Cindy and Dale Medlock
