My heartfelt condolences to the family. I know only the Most High can give you the peace you need. I pray that in addition, you know and feel the love of her friends and the community as well. I'm going to miss her smile in the choir stand, during Sunday School when she would bring the youth in and have them partake in sharing the lesson, during ALL the events at church. I'm going to miss those times when she would drive the church van and she, Bertha Alexander, Annie Scott Davis and all the others and I would be talking and laughing, just enjoying fellowshipping with each other. I'll always remember when we had on our red suits and hats, and the Women's Conference in Huntsville, getting things ready for Pastor's Appreciation and I guess mostly, that she never said "No" when I asked her to lead a song or ANYTHING! I'll always remember when I used to ride in the front seat of her police car when we worked on cases together when I worked at DHR. You couldn't tell me NOTHING!! My youngest daughter remembers her fondly from when Gail came to her school through the D.A.R.E. program. Yes, she was such a humble person. A sweet person who cared about EVERYBODY. Like everybody else, I'm going to truly, truly miss her. Eddie, know that you passed the "test"! She loved her family with all her heart. The Lord knows best in EVERY situation, including this. I know for a fact she is resting in the Lord. That I KNOW and that I'll be able to see and hug her, healthy, strong and SMILING. My continued prayers for the family, Michele Hammond.

We all like to read stories with Happy endings and today was an example of such a story ending the earthly life of Gail S. Green-Gilliam; however, her story - - which was written by God, The Eternal Author - - must be read through The Spirit of your hearts in order to embrace that Happy Ending. Charlie, May God Keep You and Your Family Strong during this difficult time. Much Love - - Much Prayer, Kenn "Mr. D" Darrington.

I can't possible begin to Express the emotions of losing such an amazing woman. She came into my family's life when I very young. Her & my dad worked together. And she became family to my entire family. One of the most caring, sweetest, & loving officers I've ever had the privilege of knowing. My dad & Mrs. Gail were the 1st to teach the D.A.R.E. program. I will cherish every moment I had with her growing up. And I will miss running into her. I felt like a little girl all over again when I'd see her. So thankful I got to introduce this amazing woman to my little family. The Kearney family will forever keep her in our hearts. Praying for your family, friends, & PCPD! I love you, Mrs. Gail! My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the family of Assistant Chief Gail Green. She has always been such a loving and caring person with such undying love for her children. Even though she had a demanding job, she always made time to volunteer and help others. I will forever cherish and respect her willingness and giving of herself and talents. I had the privilege of teaching her first child and appreciated the time she spent working with both our students and parents. I am eternally grateful for her sacrifces to us and the community. Greater Love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 At this moment no words can express the way I feel. We shared so many wonderful moments together. You always said you lean and depended on me, but I must say we depended on each other. Being a lifetime member of Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, we shared many enjoyable moments in fellowship, worship and praise as we ministered together while singing in the choir and working with the Youth Department. I will always remember the special times we shared. Today I extend my love and prayers to your family, for I know you will be graciously missed. You were a wonderful person Gail inside and out. Your spirit will always be with me and forever in my heart. Respectfully submitted in love, Bertha Alexander(Phenix City, Ala.)
