Obituary For Mrs. Eddie Mae Giles

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Eddie Mae Giles. Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 11:00 am at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel. Viewing will be Thursday, July 2, 2020 12:00 noon-4:00 pm. Eddie Mae graduated in 1970, from Sumter High School in Americus, Georgia afterwards she heading to Atlanta, Georgia to continue her post-secondary education attending John Marshall Business College in Atlanta, Georgia where she was swept off her feet by Mr. Joseph Giles and soon married in 1971. They did not waste anytime starting their family of two children Jasen and Janice. Eddie Mae started the work force as a customer service representative for The Marriott Corporation where she worked for many years. Eddie was always looking to forward her career which she did by taking a job with General Electric (GE) as a Senior Customer Service Representative for another long period of time. Again, Eddie was looking for growth and found that with Sprint Cellular Corporation as a Junior Manager of Customer Services Representatives and ended her professional career with Sprint. She took early retirement and spent time with her children and newly grandkids. Eddie Mae and Joseph (Deceased) leaves behind their son Jasen (Laswanda) Giles as their daughter Janice (Giles) Lockhart, proceeds both along with her siblings, Richard, Johnny and Linda all of Americus, GA. She is survived by eight siblings Bonnie (Joe, deceased) Butler, Willie Robinson, Jr., Lloyd G. Robinson all of Atlanta, GA; Gloria Goodgain, Aurora, Co.; Phillip Robinson, Dublin, GA; Floyd L. Robinson, Estella (Willie) Lusane and Shirley (Alvin) Smith of Americus, GA. She has two brother-in-laws Stanley Giles and George (Rabbit) Giles. Eddie also leaves 17 grandkids, 15 great-grand kid’s, nieces, nephews and host of other family, cousins and friends. Grissom-Clark Funeral Home.
