Obituary For Norma Jean Edwards Wiley

Mrs. Norma Jean Wiley, age 83, departed this life Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Duke Hospice Pavillion. She was a native of Person County, but made her home in Durham.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Effie Edwards; and several siblings. She was married to the late Thaddies L. Wiley.

She is survived by three daughters: Phyllis A. Wiley, Sharon R. Wiley and Angela Bogans all of Durham; four sons: Thaddies L. Wiley (Joanne) of Waldorf, MD, Terry Wiley, Ronald Wiley and Randy Wiley (Nicole) all of Durham, NC; three sisters: Rev. Linda Allen (Leamon) of Timberlake, Jennie Richardson (Lee) and Patricia Perkins both of Oxen Hill, MD; Two brothers: Laysander Edwards of New Brunswick, NJ and Oscar Edwards (Patricia) of Temple Hills, MD; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great granchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:00pm at Lattisville Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1701 Jimmy Ed Road E, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541 with the Rev. Clevie Brandon, officiating and the Rev. George Crews, Pastor, providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will also be Thursday at the church from 12:00pm to 1:00pm one hour prior to the service.

Attendance at the service will be limited to fifty (50) individuals and attendees will be pre-determined by the family.

At all services, masks are to be worn and social distancing recommended.
