Spartanburg, SC- Fannie Ruth Simpson, 97, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Ms. Simpson was the daughter of the late Ella Elizabeth Knuckle Simpson and the late Oliver Benjamin Simpson.

Fannie was the oldest member of her church. She was a member of the Worship Committee, the UMW Kitchen Committee, and served as a den mother for the Cub/Boy Scouts.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her two daughters, Carolyn (Herbert) Walker and Pamela Simpson; granddaughter, Natasha Simpson, reared in the home; two sisters, Olivia Lewis and Joyce Simpson; one sister-in-law, Carrie Simpson; five granddaughters; two grandsons; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fannie was preceded in death by two children, Patricia Smith and Leroy Simpson; and her six brothers, Nathaniel, Raymond, Paul, Leroy, Boyce and Robert.

A Celebration of the Life of Fannie Ruth Simpson will be held graveside on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 South Church Street Ext., Roebuck, SC.
