I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of Chris for his family and our loss of a true "gentle giant" as a classmate. I have two outstanding memories of Chris; the first is his ride down my street Nellowood on this big mule during the summer.I don't know where he was going and did not care because I was afraid of the mule. The second was he was my date to our 11th grade prom. Chris talked about my exit from his car after the car once he took me home after the prom. Yes I jumped out of the car and ran into my house. Nope no handshake goodnight kiss or even a thank you. At our 50th reunion Chris and I talked and laughed about that night and I told him that I would give him a goodnight kiss (on the cheek of course) for that unexpected exit from his car that prom night. That is a sweet memory for me because we were all very innocent to a great degree at that time. I am sure he is smiling at the fact I shared this memory and Pray thathe willtruly rest in peace--Priscilla Scarlett Class of "68"

I graduated with Chris, and remember him as the "gentle giant". He was always kind and respectful of others. The last time I saw him was at our class reunion last year. I am glad I had a chance to see and speak with him before he took his last journey. I will miss you my friend! - Jackie McClary

Christopher Timberlake Chris was my friend. When I met him at Merrick Moore, he was a big guy, had a big heart, and character to match. We played football together, got knocked down, getting up . .Chris would be the first to ask "Are you alright?" He was determined against the odds to not just be a man but a good person. And he made it! We all will miss him, and thank the Lord for planting a flower to travel with us during the cycle of life. Melvin Carver, Class of '68.
