Obituary For Frankie Jones Blount

Ms. Frankie Mae Blount was born in Ashville, Alabama on May 11, 1944 to the late Ester and Reba Jones. She departed this life on June 30, 2020.

Ms. Blount was baptized at an early age at Overcoming Church in Ashville, Alabama, and later received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Ms. Blount was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Willie Lewis Blount Sr.; son, Mr. Willie Lewis Blount Jr.; parents, Mr. Ester Jones Sr. and Mrs. Reba Jones; sisters, Mrs. Willie May Bothwell and Mrs. Maggie Williams; brothers, Mr. Ester Jones Jr. and Mr. Howard Lee Woods Sr.

Ms. Blount became a widow at a young age, which resulted in her becoming a dedicated homemaker, gardener, mother, and friend.

Ms. Blount is survived by her loving children, Mrs. Telisha (Kenneth) Robertson and Mrs. Theresa (Shaun) Brown, of Ashville, AL; Mrs. Glenda (Paul) Ruiz of Gadsden AL; and Mrs. Sharon (Eric) Williams of Springville, AL; Mr. Fredrick (Karen) Blount and Mr. James Blount of Ashville, AL; three sisters, Mrs. Eloise (Johnny) Ford and Ms. Mattie Ruth Bell of Ashville, AL; Mrs. Ruby (Percy) Davis and of Gadsden, AL; five brothers, Mr. Lester Woods, Mr. John Jones, and Mr. Fred (Dorothy) Jones, Ashville, AL; Mr. Benny Jones and Reverend Edward (Levada) Jones, of Gadsden, AL; three brothers-in-law, Mr. Sam (Virginia) Blount and Mr. Henry (Renita) Blount, of Ashville, AL; Mr. Robert Blount of Decatur, AL; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Joann Forman and Ms. Cindy Brewster of Ashville, AL; one aunt, Ms. Mattie Bell Williams; 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life services will be 12 Noon Friday at the Whitney Cemetery, Bishop Terry A. Jones Officiating.
