I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun; Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

Mrs. Sallie Somerville Harrison, age 98, of 221 Old Macon Highway in Macon, North Carolina departed this life on July 5, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Second Baptist Church in Macon, North Carolina at 2:00 PM. Reverend Charles Walton will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon, North Carolina.

Sallie leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Deborah McKevie (James) of the home, JoAnn Harrison of Falls Church, Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Paulette Harrison; one special niece, Annie Banks of Macon, North Carolina; none grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a special caregiver, Ernestine Robinson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The viewing for Mrs. Sallie Harrison will be Friday, July 10, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
