Deacon Vernell Pattin, 54, of Ernul, North Carolina died Thursday, July 8,2020.

Viewing hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2020 at First Missionary Baptist Church 819 Cypress St.

Covid 19 mandates will be followed, masks are required.

He is survived by his wife, Randi H. Pattin of the home; four sons, Michael D. Hickman (Shaneka) Grantsboro, Demetrius D. Pattin, California, Marsean D. Patin, New Bern, Jose C. Bryant, New Bern; two daughters, Nakiua M. Hickman, Vanceboro, Olivia A Pattin, New Bern; two brothers, Larry Cole, Decatur, IL and Jimmy Johnson (Frances) Decatur, IL; three sisters, Ida Davis, Carbondale, IL, LaVern Tucker and Samatha Chaney of Decatur,IL; three grandchildren.

It is hard for me to believe that you are gone. You where such a good friend at B/S/H. We talked, joked, and laughed together. I will always remember you my friend.
