Graveside services for Walter Atkins,76, of Shelby, MS are will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 2 PM at Shiloh Memorial Gardens, Shelby, under the direction of Johnson and Scott Mortuary, Cleveland. He died Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Walter B. Crook Nursing Home, Ruleville, MS.

He leaves to cherish his memories:

Wife: Lula B. Atkins of Shelby,MS

7 Daughters: Vonta Dorsey of Shelby, MS; Dorothy (Albert) Dean of Memphis, TN; Alice Hillard of Milwaukee, WI; Donald (Russell) Billups of Arlington, TN; Grace (Daniel) Landly of Missouri City, TX; Elsie (Curtis) Reed of Drew, MS; Ellen Griffin of Cleveland, MS.

3 Sisters: Lula Mae Walker and Mammie Atkins both of Shelby, MS and Sarah Latham of San Fernando Valley, CA.

2 Brothers: Henry Atkins of Hutto, TX and Lowelly "Loyd" of Lamont, MS

18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 from 2-5 PM at Johnson and Scott Mortuary.

I always remember when he always ask my grandma witch is his sister can mane stay at my house. He can help me around the house and I can put him own the bus and send him to school my grandma of course said no.Walter he is a baby but we was very close people think where not close but we was. And he always said he wanted me to stay with him. ~R.I.P ~Mane
