Obituary For Daryl L. Miller Jr.

Mr. Daryl Lamonte Miller Jr. of Charlotte , NC died July 5, 2020 Funeral is Friday July 10, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. with Visitation at 11:00 a.m. at Richmond Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

With deep devastation, we lay to rest our beloved Daryl Lamonte Miller Jr. Born on November 30, 1996 to the loving parents Daryl Lamonte Miller Sr. and Patricia Coffey Miller. Born and raised in the city of Charlotte, Daryl, lovingly called DJ, is a proud 2015 graduate of West Mecklenburg High School where he participated in Cross Country and Golf. DJ was also a proud member of the Sigma Beta Club of Charlotte. DJ continued his education at Livingstone College where he majored in Psychology. After leaving Livingstone, DJ entered the workforce. DJ remained employed with Diamond Finish Car Wash and Lube Center where he served as a Vehicle Inspection Technician. DJ, known for being a practical joker developed a very close relationship with management and staff where they viewed him as family. DJ was known as a hard worker and someone who could be trusted. Through his upbringing and personal journey, DJ valued integrity. A constant student of life and history, DJ became socially conscious and was never afraid to fight against injustice. DJ, an introvert in the truest form only wanted the best in people and desired to breathe light into anyone in need with his wisdom and loving words. DJ, was a proud person and one of the proudest moments of his life was joining the Nation of Islam. DJ was a member of Muslim Mosque 36 where he studied the teachings of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Proud of his Muslim faith, DJ dedicated his life to teaching of the Nation of Islam. One of DJ’s greatest accomplishments was attending Saviour’s Day in Chicago. DJ loved his family. DJ loved Triston and Mya. DJ loved his high school sweetheart, Aliyana Goode. Daryl Lamonte Miller Jr. better known as DJ transitioned from this earth on July 5, 2020. DJ was preceded in death by his late Grandparents, Jimmy Coffey (Paw Paw) and Janet Coffey (Maw Maw). DJ was survived by his parents, Daryl Lamonte Miller Sr. and Patricia Coffey Miller; his siblings, Triston and Mya Miller; Grandmother, Cynthia Miller; Uncles, Brandon Miller (Melicent) and Timothy Miller; Aunts Prudy McClendon and Penny Hunt (James Hunt); a host of cousins and the family of his beloved, Aliyana Mary Michelle Goode.
