Inez Sharpe was born January 19, 1931, to the late George Denson and Gruezella Williams, and was reared by her maternal grandmother Pinky Foster whom all are now deceased. The early years of her life she attended Cook County Training School. Mother Inez was preceded in death by her husband Phillip (P.G.) Sharpe 2007, two children Johnnie Pearl Gay 2002, and Jerome Sharpe 2016, and one son-in-law Clarence O’Neal 2015, one sister Jimmie Lee Jackson, two brothers Ralph Williams and Harvey Vester. Mother Sharpe was an active member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Adel, where she served as Church Mother. She was employed for many years at Del Cook Lumber Company where she retired from at the age of 62.
Mother Inez Sharpe leaves to cherish her memories three daughters Ms. Vivian Denise Sharpe, Ms. Sandra O’Neal and Mrs. Altheia Paige (Gregory) all of Adel, GA; fifteen grand children, forty-five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
