Spartanburg, SC- Jesse David Kerns was born on January 23, 1937 in Union, SC. He was the son of the late Willie Smith Kerns and the late Queenester Browning Kerns. Mr. Kerns was married to Mrs. Melba Marie Salter Kerns. Jesse peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 11, 2020.

He retired from Lockwood Green in Spartanburg, SC.

Jesse attended Hardy Chapel Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his daughter, Cheryl Kerns Rice; three sons, Jesse Lee Kerns, Sammy Dean Kerns and Calvin Wayne Kerns; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Jesse David Kerns was predeceased by his son, Fred Rickeney Kerns; his grandson, James Terrell Young; and great granddaughter, Tyquasia Young.

A Celebration of the Life of Jesse David Kerns will be held graveside on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 South Church Street Ext, Roebuck, SC.
