Obituary For Mr. Benjamin Horn

Mr. Benjamin F. Horn, fondly called Ben, of Bascom, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 14th at Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard. He was 86 years old.

A native of Jackson County, he was of the Baptist faith and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Bascom. He served in the United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged. He was a retired mechanic.

He leaves fond memories with one son, Safare Horn (Jean) of Miami, Florida; four daughters, Sandora Bennett of St. Augustine, Florida, Vivian Plather (James), Natalie Horn and Myrlie Coleman (Broadway Cuthbert Harewood) all of Miami, Florida; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of sorrowing relatives, friends and church family.

A Celebration of Life will be held graveside Saturday, July 18th at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Church Cemetery in Bascom with Pastor Leroy Hall officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
