Obituary For Arthur Maryland Poynter

Arthur Maryland Poynter passed away at his daughter's residence in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 68. He was born in Williamson County, Tennessee to the parents of the Bessie Nowlin and Bani Poynter Arthur leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Lisa Renee (Eric) Hunter, Derrick Blackmon and Arthur Poynter, Jr.; grandchildren, Jevon Poynter, La`Mya Poynter and Artavious Poynter; great grandchild, Jaliyah Poynter; sisters, Bessie "Louise" Poynter, Annie Ruth Poynter, Dorothy Ann Poynter, Linnie Poynter, Mary Lee Gentry and Agnes Poynter; brothers, Bani Poynter, Jr., John Willie Poynter and Hardin (Sara) Poynter, nieces, nephews; cousins and friends. There will be no public viewing or funeral for Mr. Poynter.

A Private Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Poynter at a later date.

I remember going to Brentwood Skate Center on Sundays. One Sunday my uncle showed up and showed out! I was so amazed to see how great he was at skating, I had to stop and watch! I'll always love and remember him! Deborah Poynter,
