Obituary For Mr. Horace Williams

Mr. Horace Williams /affectionately called Jackie, of Greenwood, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 15th at Jackson Hospital. He was 68 years old. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Horace leaves loving memories with his mother, Theola Williams of Greenwood, Florida; two sons, Michael Williams and Horace Williams, Jr.; one daughter, Lola Williams; two bothers, Raymond Williams and wife Gerelean of Greenwood, Florida and Jerry Williams and wife Voncille of Marianna, Florida; two sisters, Lillie Fleming and husband Keith of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Andrea Garrett and husband Wesley of Greenwood, Florida; two uncles, Rev. Lucious Williams, Sr. and Bryant C. Williams both of Greenwood, Florida; three aunts, Earnestine Bowers, Florida Mae McKay both of Greenwood, Florida and Willie Mae Johnson of Richmond, Indiana; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held Friday, July 24th from 3-6 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.

A celebration of life will be held graveside Saturday, July 25th at 10:00 AM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Two Egg with Pastor L.V. Farmer, Rev. Lucious Williams, Sr. and Rev. Riley J. Henderson officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
