For everything there is a season (Ecclesiastes 3 KJV), and for every life there is a purpose to fulfill under heaven... To God we give all the glory and honor because our losses are heaven's wonderful gain - (Philippians 1:21). Sleep sweetly, Mr. Ike. Take your rest in the arms of our loving Lord and wonderful Savior. But as the songwriter reminds us, "Yet, isn't it sweet, just to know that one day, we'll meet again. When all the saints will gather to tell their stories of how they've overcome, and then, we'll understand it better by and by..." Until then, may God grant the entire Waterman Family, and the many other associated family members, loved ones, and friends overwhelming peace, blessings, and hope in His continued faithfulness and promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus. May the blood of Jesus always cover you, the Holy Spirit always guide you, and legions of angels always surround each of you in God's comforting and protecting love. Accordingly, may your many fond memories of Mr. Ike render unstoppable strength during the days ahead, and years beyond. And may you take comfort in that you now have another angel to watch over and cheer you on... In that great cloud of witnesses soft-spokenly saying, "Don't worry about me. Everything 'Here' is alright." In Faith, Sincere Condolences, and Heartfelt Prayers of Support, Angelo, Dianne, Connetta, Brittany, Nicholas, and Jason Thomas (The Walston-Suggs of Hampton, Virginia)

My condolences to the family. I remember attending BTW High School with Ike. He was the "trainer" for the athletic teams. Back then it meant administering first aid to injured players. Ike was always on the job and his cure ALL was an ammonia capsule! Which he would put up to your nose and pop it. Regardless of the injury, you was going to get that capsule. He will be missed by me and the many lives that he touched. May God comfort the family. Lester Howard and Family, Wilson,NC

Ike and I were classmates at Booker T. Washington Senior High School. My fondest memory of Ike was when we went to Wildwood, NJ in the summer,1963 to work and make some money. We shared a room in a boarding home with two other friends. We worked hard but also had lots of fun on the boardwalk and beach. My condolences to the family and may Ike forever rest in eternal peace.
