Obituary For Bertha Olivia Gaskins Carter

Bertha Olivia Gaskins Carter, 96, of New Bern died Thursday July 16, 2020 at her residence.

Viewing hours are 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday at Oscar's Mortuary. Service may be viewed on oscars facebook page.

Her service is 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Hyman Chapel AMEZ Church Cemetery 2108 Hwy. 101 Havelock followed by the interment.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Leon Carter and Robert Carter both of New Bern, NC; seven daughters, Shirley Russell, Sarah Hill, Judy Nelson all of New Bern, NC, Deborah Jones of Cove City, NC, Yvonne Barnett of Durham, NC, Tracy Johnson of Jacksonville, NC and LaTonia Carter of Efland, NC; three sisters, Catherine Davis of Baltimore, Sarah Miles New Bern, NC and Dolly Garolds of Chicago, IL; seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
