Mr. Timothy Lavert Adams, Sr.

Augusta, GA—Mr. Timothy Lavert Adams, Sr., entered into rest Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at University Hospital.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 12:00 noon at St. Clair Baptist Church, 124 William Tinley Road, Keysville, GA.

Viewing will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

MR. TIMOTHY LAVERT ADAMS, SR., aka “Big Tim”, “Goo”, Mr. Magoo”, “Unc” and “Cuz”, was born in Augusta, Georgia, to Annie Lou “Sis” Adams and Paul Adams, Sr. on September 25, 1961.

Timothy joined St. Clair Baptist Church at an early age. During his years at St. Clair, he was a member of the Usher and Trustee Boards. Timothy worked faithfully during his illness until his health prevented him from doing so. He truly loved his St. Clair Baptist Church Family.

Timothy graduated from Westside High School in 1979. He attended Augusta College and worked for the Kellogg Company. He was also a member of the Sandhill Men’s Softball Team and loved his football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Adams, Sr., and Annie Lou Adams; siblings, Eli Jordan, McArthur Adams, Willie T. Adams, Sr., Floydie Mae Smith, James Edward Adams, Sr., Ernest Levert Jordan and John L. Adams.

Timothy leaves to cherish his loving memories: his son, Timothy L. Adams, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Jahel Adams of Middleburg, Florida; a nephew he raised, Joshua E. Adams of Augusta, Georgia; grandchildren, Jamelle Adams of North Carolina, Qameron and Makeima Adams of California, Jamaria Vann of North Carolina, Kennedy McKee of Kentucky, Traythin Adams and Sanaya Cross of Florida; siblings, Paul L. Adams, Jr. and Joseph Adams, Sr. (Deloris); devoted sister, Rosemary Adams Carter; goddaughters, Lakeivia G. Owens and Alexia Rose Carter; godson, Dewayne Gilmore of Savannah, Georgia; in-laws, Eunice W. Jordan, Deloris B. Adams, Emma W. Moore, Joan P. Adams and Ronnie L. Carter, Sr.; uncle, Eddie Kollock of Vineland, New Jersey; special friends, Esther England and Frances Evans; his son’s mother, Cindy Gilmore; and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
