Obituary For Tommy Remson

Tommy Napoleon Remson was born January 31, 1939 in Brutonville, Alabama to the late James Remson and Laura Whatley Reed. On July 15, 2020, Tommy was called home and is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife Amelia Remson, stepfather Theopres Reed, and brother Robert "Bobby" Remson.

Tommy was a graduate of Calhoun County Training School class of 1958 and he retired from M & H Manufacturing after many years of service. Tommy was also a skilled master craftsman who took great pride in every project he constructed. As a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church in Anniston, Tommy was loved by all and looked forward to times of fellowship, in and out of the church, with his members that he called family.

Tommy is survived by his two sisters, Frances (Oliver) Prothro in Pearland, TX, and Cynthia (Fulton) Evans in Arcola, Mississippi; 2 stepsons, 12 great-nieces and nephews and 6 step-grandchildren Tommy also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his extended family, and longtime friend and caregiver, Curtis Irby.

While earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal, our upcoming days, weeks and months will be met with reflections of Tommy and missing his laughter, jokes and the joy that he brought to our hearts. Our prayer is that the same joyous spirit that embodied Tommy, will also embody each of us and bring us peace and comfort.

Out of an abundance of caution, the family has decided to have a private graveside service and burial. A special memorial will be planned at a later date, to share fond memories of our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of the prayers, phone calls, emails, text messages and gestures extended to us during this most difficult time.
