I will truly miss my cousin. He was a role model, mentor and faithful man of God. I was privileged to be able to spend time with him during our rides to family reunion meetings. I'll never forget the laughs, the stories and the wisdom he shared with me. He was one of a kind and truly a blessing to our family and all who knew him. -Philemon Nichols

Mr Sanford would take me fishing and listen to Blues music. He was a good fisherman but he didn't like fish. He was always happy and thoughtful. He lived his life simply and honorably. Boris De Laine

We will miss cousin Ezelle. He was faithful to the Nichols & Farley Family Reunion and had a lot of knowledge about the family history. I was going to interview him for the family documentary. Tell my Dad Thomas hello. - cousin Tommy Nichols

May God comfort family and friends in a way that only He can. I thank God for the friendship Deacon Sanford and I shared. He was truly a man of God. All of our conversations were Bible based. I will miss his genuineness, his smile and his words of wisdom. Rest my friend. You have fought a good fight, you have finished the course. Farewell and I will see you in the morning. Curtis Jordan

I thank God for Deacon Sanford for his leadership his commitment to the work of God. I had the pleasure to learn from him to serve under him as Deacon of the church and he served under me as the church musician. One song he sang fits this occasion "THE UNCLOUDED DAY" O the land of cloudless day, o the land of an unclouded day; o they tell me of a home where no storms clouds rise, o they tell me of an unclouded day. One day I will be there with you. Your friend Elder Melvin Davis
