Obituary For Malik Bothwell

Malik Raashad Bothwell was born June 6, 1997 to Monica Bothwell and the late Walter Lee Adams Jr. in Gadsden, Alabama. On Wednesday, July 22, 2020 Malik entered into eternal rest from this life. Malik will be remembered by many for his comical personality. He was able to make you laugh, even though you did not feel like laughing.

Malik grew up in the Gadsden City School system. In 2015, he graduated from Gadsden City High School.

He went on to major in Biology at Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama. While working towards his degree Malik completed a Biomedical Internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was a member of the Ambassadors Association and received a STEM Scholar award. Malik graduated in 2017, receiving his Associates Degree in Biology. In 2018, Malik obtained his Phlebotomist Certificate. In 2019, he decided to pursue a career in nursing. He began the Nursing program at Gadsden State Community College while an employee at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Malik was preceded in death by his father; Walter Lee Adams Jr., grandmother; Betty Joyce Bothwell and aunt; Temika Adams Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving mother; Monica Bothwell, special cousin; McKenzie Bothwell, grandparents; Harry James Bothwell, Walter (Deborah) Adams, aunts; Vonda Bothwell, Aleatha Bothwell, Sheneka Bothwell, and Jalissa Bothwell, uncles; Demetri (Dominique) Bothwell and Sedrick Adams, as well as a host of cousins, special friends, and a large, loving family.

Public Viewing will be 1-7 P.M. Monday July 27, 2020 at West Gadsden Funeral Home (Betty D. Robinson) Chapel

Graveside Services will be Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 11 A.M. in the Ashville Cemetery With Bishop Terry A. Jone Officiating.
