He was preceded in death by his grandparents - Eugene and Hattie McCall, and his uncles – Sgt. Henry Sumrall, George Reed, and Jerome Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Tamara H. McCall; and five children – Jamarcus McCall, Destyne Patrice Evans, Demetric LaShawn “DJ” Evans, Jr., Willie Shannon McCall, Jr., Mackenzie Jordyn McCall, and Jamal Bagsby (honorary son). He will be missed by his loving parents – Willie Lee Reed, Jr. and Sharon Reed, Cynthia Daffin and Bobby Daffin; devoted grandmothers – Eva M. Ward and Lucy M. Parker; brothers – Voderick Maurice McCall (Jeanine McCall) and Ivan “Nigel” Williams (Markeisha Watson); sisters – Kizzy McKeller-Williams and Elextria Davis; aunts and uncles – Ophelia Tolliver, Ella Bradley (Ervin Bradley), Alice Sumrall, Peggy Sumrall, Deborah Kemp (Robert Kemp), Mary Jackson, Eugene McCall (Shirley McCall), Timothy McCall (Denise McCall), Robert Smith, Lula Westry (Roy Westry), Gladys Dubose (Jeffrey Dubose), Debra Johnson (Desavieu Johnson), Ola M. Reed, Dominica Ash, Mildred Hart, and Lauren Mintz (Eric Mintz); best friends - Richard Caldwell (Danielle Caldwell) and Cornelius “CJ” Washington; a host of nieces and nephews; and an entire community of friends. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Prayer Tabernacle Early Church of Jesus Christ, under the late Bishop Cornelius Woods, where he served as a deacon. He was a graduate of John L. LeFlore High School, Class of 2001, and a coach of many years for the Springhill Wildcats, Eightmile Giants, and Navco Vikings. He enjoyed coaching and making a difference in the lives of children all over the Mobile area. He won countless championships encouraging children with the phrase, “Together we stand, divided we fall. All for 1 and 1 for all!” He loved his family, coaching, playing pool, football, and basketball, and he was Michael Jordan’s biggest fan. He touched the lives of many and his smile, laugh, and presence will be truly missed.
