Obituary For Susie Robinson

He has made everything beautiful in its time. There is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good. For there is a time for every purpose and for every work. She extended her hand to the poor, she reaches out her hand to the needy. Strength and honor are her clothing. On her tongue is the law of kindness and the blunt truth. (at her own works praise her in the gates)

To everything there is a reason, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born… and a time to die. Susie Mae Robinson, better known as “Que” to family and friends, was born on January 13, 1936 to the late Randolph Erwin and Corrine McCullough on Go Forth Farm in Gaston County and departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, North Carolina.

To the community at large, Susie always had an open door and welcoming heart. Susie was known to provide comfort and support to those struggling with life issues. She would listen without judgment and offer you guidance and honest truth. She loved hard and with tremendous loyalty. Susie showed love when others shook their heads and walked away. If you wanted the best chitterling plates in town, Susie was the one to come see. She extended herself to the community whether she was feeding you or correcting you. She stood in her truth and walked proudly by her faith.

Preceding her in death is her husband: Albert Daniel Robinson; daughter: Debora Ann Robinson; three grandsons and a multitude of sisters and brothers.

Those remaining to cherish her memories in her natural family include her children: Emily Juanita Erwin, Don albert Bernard Robinson and Phyllis Arlene Robinson all of Gastonia, North Carolina; one sister: Jerryline Jefferson of Gastonia, North Carolina; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday; July 24, 2020 from 6 until 9:00.

Funeral: Saturday; July 25, 2020; 11:30 a.m.; Tabernacle Baptist Church, Gastonia
