Ms. Bettie Lee Hughes was born on November 12, 1933 in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late Emmitt Hughes and Sallie McGill Hughes. She transitioned from her earthly home on Friday; July 24, 2020 at her home.

She was educated in the Cleveland School System. Bettie was a quiet, loving and caring woman. She thought the world of her brother and family. There wasn’t a birthday that she ever forgot. She loved to cook and clean. She will be forever missed.

Ms. Bettie was preceded in death by her father: Emmitt Hughes, her mother: Sallie McGill Hughes; brother: Jackie Hughes and niece: Linda Berry.

Memories will always be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
