Sir, I think of you often! You helped me with my daily repetitive questions and never grew tired of them. You always texted me Bible Verses. I will always feel grateful for you and honored to have served with you! I remember seeing you in the post office and how excited I was that you met my new baby boy. You was so kind to him. You always helped me cope with losing my only son, at the time, after my deployment. I pray I was as good of friend to you as you ALWAYS was to me. I miss you Sir! We all had good times at HRC. Thank you for everything and treating everyone like they really mattered! God bless your family! SFC (R) Kline

Brother Lucius was a dear friend. I worked with him a few years before the Center moved to Kentucky. He introduced me to people that helped me better assist the soldiers. When he moved to Kentucky he kept in touch sending me encouraging texts or called me every now and then. I spoke with him in 2017, told him I was having a birthday party. He came to St. Louis, brought me beautiful flowers and other gifts. I went to a friend's retirement ceremony in Kentucky last year and she told me he was in a nursing home. Before I left a sister and I went to visit him for while reminiscing about the job and the goodness of God. I remember when my four sons met him they called him Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He loved to watch the boys gather around me and give me a big hug. My mind was on him because I hadn't heard from him for a couple of months. I called him the day before he passed to check on him and left a message. I was informed he passed the next day. I could not get sad because he fought a good fight and kept the faith. He lived his life for Christ showing so much love to so many. This is how I'll remember him. Love Delorie "RIH" Bro. Lucius

My prayers and thoughts are with the family. Mr. Lucious (Mr. L.) was a blessing to me as a Soldier and as a civilian co-worker. I learned alot from him as he was a great person of knowledge, ALWAYS willing to share that knowledge to no avail. A very generous man who will always be missed. Trust GOD in times of sorrow. He will get you through. Michelle

Blessings to you all. Lucius and I worked together at HRC St. Louis. He was a very thoughtful man who was always kind and soft spoken. He was a mentor who always inspired everyone to be the best at what you do. After he retired from the Army, he kept serving Soldiers as a civilian. He always send out daily or Sunday scripture and his faith never waivers. When he told me how sad he was that he could no longer serve Soldiers do to his illness and I prayed for him and know now that the the gates of heaven are opened to welcome him home. "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:" 2 Timothy 4:6-7 KJV. God bless you Lucius.
