With a heavy heart my prayers are with Donnie's family. Donnie was a great man with integrity and wisdom. I first met Donnie's after I graduated from High School. He gave me my first job in the custom department at Hatteras Yachts. He nicknamed me "Peanut". After a time I decided to join the military and he supported me and my decision. He and the department gave me a going away gathering, he gave me a pocket watch which I still have to this day. I asked him why he hired me and he told me, "Peanut, I had this young kid in front of me who promised to give me 100% every day so I wanted to see if you meant it, and you did." I will never forget that. God bless each of you.

Donnie Madden always saw the good in others & helped them to excel. He built my first tool box when I started at Hatteras in 1973 & it lasted me 31 years. I loved to hear Donnie laugh. His laugh was truly something you would remember. He was a great asset to HATTERAS YACHTS for many years. If there were more people in our government like Donnie Madden, this world would be so much better & we would not be in this mixed up times we live in today. You taught us well Donnie, now we must never forget those little lessons. I THANK YOU FOR YOU FRIENDSHIP. Bruce Morrison

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Donnie at IDX. Even at the most stressful times at work a few minutes talking with him would cheer you up and get you through the toughest day. He had a way of calming you down and cheering you up. I have the upmost respect for this man. He gave me advice with my battle with cancer and I truly believe I am here because of that. Myself and my family will never forget that. In my mind he has been my Guardian angel and I know for a fact there was a custom set of wings waiting for him in heaven. My sincere condolences to his wife and family. Eric & Kimberly Ackroyd

I met and worked with both Donnie and Deborah for many years at Hatteras and have always considered them dear Christian friends. As a friend and a great supervisor, Donnie set the example for others to follow as he had the patience to see the whole picture and respond with the right decisions. He truly had a gift of love for others that he shared daily with all those in which he came in contact. I will continue to pray for Deborah and the family knowing that Donnie is now healed and in his Heavenly home. May God bless you all. John and Paula Hodge

My deepest sympathy and sincere condolences and prayers goes out to the family, which I am a part of. As everyone has mentioned, Donnie was an outstanding individual who I will miss dearly. He and I grew up together and share special memories with his parents (Uncle Wallace and Aunt Mollie) and my grandparents (Jessie and Hattie Brown). He was the brother that I never had. It was such a special occasion when we all spent time together. On numerous weekends, my grandparents would take me with them to visit Uncle Wallace, Aunt Mollie, and Donnie. Those visits will always be precious memories to me. Donnie, my brother, may you Rest In Peace. We will meet again one day "Over Yonder" to be with the Lord!! William L. Brown / Chicago, IL
